Functional Movement Yoga is a way for people who are new to yoga to explore how we move and live in our bodies. We can decrease stress by optimizing the awareness of our native biomechanics and learn to utilize the breath with mindfulness.
In this 3 hour workshop we will:
- Discuss the concept of "Anatomy Trains"
- Explore the 5 directions of movement of the spine
- Experience the connections between breath and movement
- Practice conscious relaxation

Sierra Rediger RN, BSN, RYT-500 has been educating patients and students for over 18 years. Her combination of Western Medicine training and Eastern Thought/Yoga training provides students with a unique perception of the body and mind. Her classes offer students the opportunity to feel their practice from the inside out, facilitating the flow of classroom knowledge into an experience of the physical body.
